
iDreamer is a referral app for the fintech industry where brokers can earn by referring leads for different financial products like loans, credit cards, etc.
How did it start?
Mayur Deshpande, founder of i-dreamer is a CA by profession who was already selling financial products via his website RupeeRabbit.
He realized that the true potential of the business could be achieved by aggregating all the financial products and brokers on one platform.
Where brokers could refer leads for different financial products and earn on successful deals.
OVERVIEW
The stakeholder(Mr. Mayur) of the project wanted to shift from website-based lead generation to mobile app-based lead generation via referral partners.
He was referred to us by one of our developer partners. He had seen and used a competitor app himself previously and he was looking to replicate that app.
Which we later made him realize wasn’t such a good idea.

INITIAL RESEARCH
Secondary Research
The client already had a good idea about his target customers and their behaviours. Hence he didn’t want us to do research from the beginning and instead insisted on getting all the information from him.
Now in such cases, our job becomes asking the right question and figuring out if the stakeholder is biased or not, which is very common in such type of research.
What we realized and uncovered
In our research we discovered the following insights:
User Concerns
- What if this turns out to be a scam? Every earn online app these days sounds like a fraud
- How do I know if the lead I submitted got converted or not?
- Such deals take weeks, sometimes months. User might lose interest during such long turn around time

- Earn money by referring for financial products
- Discover more financial products to maximize earning
OUR SOLUTION
Addressing Suspicion Early on
We knew the app would be judged right before even creating an account since so many “earn money online” apps are bogus and fraudulent.
So we had to address this user suspicion and concern right at the beginning, for which we suggested the use of social proof on the welcome screens to tackle obscurity.
Lead Satus Tracking
We made a separate section to track the status of the leads submitted by the broker.
Since there are different financial products, we provided simple filters to avoid any confusion.
Educating & Winning Trust
We had to make sure that the user can understand new financial products and trust iDreamer to deliver on them.
So we converged a short description of the product, social proof and an example of what a successful opportunity looks like into one screen along with the lead submission.
DESIGN PHASE
Low fidelity wireframes
We usually start the design process with low-fidelity wireframes. This is the way we iterate through many design options quickly. With the wireframes, we were able to clearly design the basic features matching the main user journey of the app.

FINAL UI DESIGN
As a first part of the UI design process, we experimented with different colours and styles. We tried to focus on colours and visual elements which can distinct Suraj’s brand from other Servicing apps.
Final design elements
- Using split-complementary color scheme
- Adding brand’s orange color as accent colour
- Light rounded edges buttons and cards for a trustable & professional look
